Friends of YOUR Park
The Springfield Parks Foundation has made it easy to get involved in your neighborhood park with the establishment of the "Friends of YOUR PARK" program. The program reaches out to the neighborhoods surrounding our parks to promote volunteerism and stewardship within the park the neighborhood is adjacent to. Currently we have "Friends of YOUR PARK" programs established in Washington Park(hyperlink to page), Lincoln Park(hyperlink to page), Barker Park(hyperlink to page), Jefferson Park(hyperlink to page).
We have also assembled the Volunteer Tool Wagon which is an enclosed utility trailer fully equipped with all the landscape equipment needed to accomplish most clean-up and landscaping jobs within our parks. The Tool Wagon is available for use by any established volunteer group in our parks or city green spaces.
The Foundation promotes volunteerism and stewardship within our parks and we hope you will join us. Our goal is to build a strong relationship between the Springfield Park District, our Foundation and the volunteer groups who can truly make a difference.
